💙 “First Decade Retrospective” begins on May 20th!

GENEVA MUSIC FESTIVAL 2021 SEASON
< FIRST DECADE RETROSPECTIVE >
MAY 20 – JUNE 13, 2021

Our “First Decade Retrospective” celebratory season is excited to invite you all back for a season showcasing diverse musical influences such as Jazz, Latin, African American, and women composers and musicians.

Joining us this year are 2021 Grammy Award winner Dashon Burton, Henry Kramer (2019 Avery Fisher Career Grant winner), as well as Ani Kavafian, Clive Greensmith, Jinjoo Cho, Ettore Causa, and JP Jofre. Also returning to the Festival are ATLYS, Michelle Cann, Hannah Collins, Kirsten Docter, Max Geissler, Eliot Heaton, La Voz de Tres, Eric Wong, and Esther Park. Aaron Lipp and the Slack Tones will join the Festival for the first time for a rockabilly and country swing concert on Memorial Day weekend.

“Our programming once again highlights the diverse scope of contributions to classical music and demonstrates the universal nature of our art,” says Artistic Director Geoffrey Herd. “We aim to give voice to the possibilities of our time, breaking through exclusionary barriers that, historically, have unfairly restricted composers and performers. The classical canon has traditionally denied audiences the opportunity to experience the range and depth that music offers.”

The safety of our musicians and audiences is of utmost importance to us.
Most of our concerts will be held at the Smith Opera House with a couple events held outdoors. Our venues will allow us to accommodate the ongoing need for social distancing while still offering the opportunity for the community to enjoy live music.

While there will be limited seating for these in-person concerts, most of our events will be live streamed for those who feel more comfortable watching from home. Please visit our website to see which concerts are available virtually.

All tickets to each in-person concert or livestream are $25, and free for ages 18 and under. We respectfully ask that you purchase a ticket for each person watching the livestream.
Please also keep in mind that tickets will not be able to be purchased at the door for the in-person concerts!

**For in-person concerts: Please bring the printed ticket receipt sent to your email after your purchase. This will act as your pass to get into the concert. This is a replacement for physical concert tickets that are normally picked up at the box office to maintain social distancing and limit physical contact at the venue.

The full season schedule and tickets are posted on our website at:
