You can be a part of making the music happen today for tomorrow. As our patrons say: it is a delight “to hear this beautiful music in the great state of New York.” Concert-goers love musicians introducing the pieces, making for a “ deeper understanding and experience of the music.” They love GMF’s community outreach to audiences of all ages.
Join the GMF community – gifts of all amounts make the music happen.
The Annual Appeal helps support the Festival’s annual operating expenses. These include artists’ fees, travel, and housing; administrative expenses and professional compensation; venue expenses; publicity and print materials; and educational programs and community outreach events. You may donate to the Annual Appeal in a variety of ways. You may make a one-time cash gift or you may become a sustaining supporter by arranging an automatic gift on an annual, quarterly, or monthly basis and receive a $5 discount on every ticket or $40 on every season pass you purchase for yourself. You may designate the GMF to receive a donation through your company’s Matching Gift Program. Or you may make a donation through your IRA or give a gift of appreciated stocks or other assets in consultation with your financial advisor. You may also consider giving a gift in memoriam. However you chose to support the Festival, it matters, whatever the size!
An endowment is an investment fund that provides a foundation of annual support on an ongoing basis. In 2022, the Festival concluded its first endowment campaign by raising $100,000 to match 2:1 a generous supporter’s contribution of $50,000, for a total of $150,000, demonstrating the Festival’s strong support among its loyal and appreciative patrons. Building upon this foundation in the future will enable the Festival to sustain ongoing administrative expense and provide a base of support for each season’s artists and programs.
You may contribute to this effort and help secure the future of the Geneva Music Festival by making a gift today or by including the Festival in your estate planning. All planned gifts and charitable bequests are directed toward endowment unless the donor specifies otherwise and can be made in a variety of ways, as decided by you in consultation with your financial advisor.
By supporting the Geneva Music Festival, businesses and corporations receive valuable recognition and help maintain the rich cultural life of our community that, in part, makes the Finger Lakes such an attractive place in which to live, work, and play. Patron surveys show that the Festival draws attendees from the Finger Lakes region broadly, including both the Rochester and Syracuse media markets, and increasingly draws summer visitors as well. Festival sponsors receive an ad and recognition in concert programs and the GMF website, as well as additional benefits. A list of sponsorship levels – from $5,000 to $250 – is found below.

Awards from Foundations and other philanthropic organizations account annually for over half of the Festival’s income. These awards support general operating expenses and especially our educational programs and community outreach. In the current year, special grants have enabled the Festival to rebuild its website in order to more fully support our patrons, offer ever-more program and artist information, and expand access to and the reach of the GMF through the Digital Concert Hall and the livestreaming of concerts from The Smith. Foundation support is highly competitive and the success of the Geneva Music Festival in attracting foundation support is testament to its growing regional and national stature. We are deeply appreciative of this support and wish to acknowledge our gratitude to the following foundations and philanthropic organizations.
GMF was made possible in part by the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of the Office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature and the National Endowment for the Arts.
