The Geneva Music Festival is a professional summer chamber music festival held each year in June. The 2017 concert season will run for the first three weeks in June with performances planned for Geneva, Canandaigua, Auburn, and Skaneateles. The Festival was founded in 2011 by violinist Geoffrey Herd in an effort to enhance our cultural community by bringing internationally acclaimed musicians to the Finger Lakes region. Its goal is to entertain, inspire and nurture a lifelong appreciation of classical music throughout the community. Its mission is to promote the fine arts by bringing innovative world class performances to the region, engage a wide range of audiences and provide opportunities for enrichment to people of all ages. Education of children is one of the Festival’s highest priorities and each year several performances are offered free of charge at local public schools. In addition, students 18 years and under are given free admission to all concerts.
