We are excited to share that Geneva Music Festival Artist and Violinist Jinjoo Cho released her newest album, ‘Toy Store,’ in collaboration with composer Juri Seo on May 5th.
Toy Store is the fruit of a multi-year collaboration between violinist Jinjoo Cho and composer Juri Seo. Toy Store explores the sweetness, humor, and madness of childhood, filtered through an adult’s eye. The five movements traverse multiple genres, from classical to death metal to sound art, blending musical passions shared by the two artists. Structured like a violin concerto accompanied by a shapeshifting electronic band, the album combines an unwieldy mixture of electronic sounds with the meaty sounds of the centuries-old Guarneri violin.
