In Case You Missed It…

People are talking about – and to – the Geneva Music Festival! We hope you had a chance to hear T.S. Monk on Jazz 90.1 in Rochester this morning discussing his father’s life and his Centennial celebration of him. His concert takes place this Saturday, at the Smith Opera House. Tickets are still available online.

Check out some of the other conversations director Geoffrey Herd and some of our amazing artists have had with media around the region:

On May 25, TS Monk spoke with Bill Snyder at WSKG about how he became a drummer: https://wskg.org/arts/a-jazz-legend-carries-on-his-fathers-legacy-in-geneva/

Herd was interviewed on May 29 by Ted Baker of Finger Lakes Morning News (you have to scroll down to the date, or title “G Herd Geneva Geoff HerdMusic Festival.”):  http://radio.securenetsystems.net/cirrusencore/WGVA-OD.

On May 30, Diane Jones of WCNY spoke with Herd, as well as violinist Jinjoo Cho, violist Eric Wong, and cellist Max Geisler: http://www.wcny.org/may-30-2018-geneva-music-festival-2018/

Herd and members of Cavani String Quartet and friends also appeared on Backstage Pass with Julia Figueras on WXXI discussing the program as well as performing for her radio audience. The show ran live on June 1 and repeated on Sunday, June 3.
