Spring is Sprung!
April flowers are blooming, and things are finally starting to warm up.
We’re so excited that the main festival is just a month and a half away now!
A huge thank you to all who supported the Festival by attending the Spring Benefit Concert and by bidding on auction items. Thanks to your generosity, GMF raised over $20,000! The Spring Benefit is GMF’s single biggest fundraiser, and the proceeds will go directly towards running the Festival.
Over $11,000 was raised from the auction, including $4,485 raised in the live auction during intermission. We’d also like to express our gratitude to the more than 90 local businesses and individuals who donated auction items.
Elizabeth Newell, the head of the planning committee for the Spring Benefit, said, “What a joy to come together to get a preview of the wonderful music that will characterize the 2023 Festival! Not only did we enjoy a spectacular program by Geoffrey Herd, Eric Wong, and newcomers Peter Eom and Anna Petrova, but we raised over $20,000 to support the Geneva Music Festival.”
While in Geneva this past month for the spring benefit, the artists also performed for the students at the West Street School. Watch out for our next newsletter for details and pictures remembering the heartwarming event!
We appreciate each of you, and can’t wait to have you join us at the main festival in May!
