What a year 2020 has been. As this year draws to a close, we want to say thank you from all of us at the Geneva Music Festival. We’ve had incredible moments in the last 10 years of sharing our local stages with you and our Festival musicians. Although we missed performing in-person for you due to the global COVID-19 pandemic, we hope you had a chance to join us for the 2020 virtual program, “A Musical Offering,” which is available for viewing any time on our YouTube channel. During this virtual season, we found that music has no limits, thanks to all of the hard work put in by our team, the members of the Board, our artists, and most importantly, your consistent support and generosity.
“We gained valuable experience in expanding musical presentation in new ways, and learned that flexibility, programmatic creativity, inventive artists, and technological innovation are key,” shares Geoffrey Herd. “We fervently hope to stage live concerts in safe, socially distanced venues, guided by the advice of medical experts. But, we are also prepared to adapt, as we did for 2020, to offering engaging, professionally produced virtual performances.”
As the holiday season is upon us, we find ourselves reflecting on the past year and are reminded that it is your support that has brought us here, ten years since our founding in 2011. Your generosity helps us keep ticket prices affordable, supports our educational and community outreach programs, and allows us to bring you creative, professional, and often unique performances. Please consider sustaining the Festival by making a gift so that we can continue to share great music.
We wish you joy and peace this holiday season, and look forward to the time when we can all be together again.
Happy holidays and happy new year!!
